strike tag

Post by Itikar » Sat Apr 06, 2013 1:40 pm

I would like to propose to add the strike tag to the forum.
The code that allows, by writing example, to make it appear with as strikeout.
I think it is pretty useful for corrections. :)
I would be very grateful, if you could please correct my English.

I agree.

Unfortunately, the strikethrough tag isn't available as standard in phpbb, it can only be added on as a modification (MOD). These can adversely affect the forum so let me investigate further. If I find a suitable MOD I'll test it first and only install it if I'm confident it won't screw up the forum in some other way.

Oh, do not worry calum, if adding it could cause problems to the forum then no problem at all.
I would be very grateful, if you could please correct my English.

Testing strikethrough tag.

Looks like it works!

I searched the phpbb help pages and found that our version supports the addition of these BB codes via the admin control panel, without the need for a MOD. Thanks for asking for this, it's very useful on a language forum.

Please test it yourself and confirm whether it works for you.

I've also added superscript since it might be useful for someone[1] referring to footnotes in a lengthy explanation.

La parabola -x2 + 2x + 3 interseca l'asse x in x1 = -1 e x2 = 3

Ottimo. [1] I tried with , as opposed to (i.e. superscript vs subscript), though it doesn't work.

En. It.
datum, data dato, dati
date, dates data, date

dovrebbe invece apparire così:
[attachment=0]nbs.jpg[/attachment]

Code: Select all

  En. It.
  datum, data dato, dati
  date, dates data, date

I've added the subscript tag to the options available when posting although it isn't as pronounced an effect as the superscript. So far, I haven't found a BB code for the &nbsp tag but I'm still looking.
