Italian to English translations : "devo fare io stesso.."

Can't figure this out for the life of me:

Devo fare io stesso al cervello tuo dall'italiano.

Can you give some context to the phrase? Is it taken from some book?

Yes, and thanks for your time.

A friend texted me that the day after I taught her the basics of boxing and she taught me some Italian.

Oh, it is not very clear without knowing what you told her before.
Anyway a literal translation is the following:
I have to do (devo fare) I myself (io stesso which is here a very emphatic subject) to your brain (al cervello tuo another emphatic expression with the possessive after the noun) from Italian (dall'italiano this last part is not very clear).

Without notes:
"I have to do (it) "I myself" to your brain from Italian"
Not very clear after all.

Another possibility is a typo: "io stesso" instead of "lo stesso".
I have to do the same (thing) to your brain from Italian.

So maybe it meant that she wanted to teach Italian to your brain as you taught something about boxing to her muscles.

I hope it is useful. Bye! :)
I would be very grateful, if you could please correct my English.

I think Itikar has it right; she wants to repay your boxing lesson with a similarly helpful lesson in Italian.
