Translation Help

Postby RagazzaScozzese » Fri May 19, 2017 12:49 pm

Is "Questa è cosa che mi manca nella mia vita!" correct?

Voglio dire "This is something that's missing from my life!" ma non sono sicura se è giusto?

Grazie in anticipo!

Hi RagazzaScozzese.

I would say, "E' qualcosa che mi manca nella (mia) vita".
I would leave "questa" out. Context would help, though.

Context is a (italian) friend has sent me a photo of something i really want/like.

And I want to respond like so, but wasn't sure if the best way to phrase it?

Thanks for your help!

Given that context, the sentence I've posted sounds OK.

Hi,

I would say: "Questa è una cosa che mi manca nella vita!". This emphasizes the meaning you are looking for ("something i really want/like").

Enrico
