I'm not sure I understand what you're supposed to do. If you're supposed to answer the questions using possessive adjectives I'd have written:
A1) Sono i suoi album
A2) Sono le mie compagne
A3) È la nostra villa
Sono in this context means "they are". They questions aren't really questions though, they're just statements.

Q) Tu hai delle compagne (You have some companions)
A) Sono le mie compagne (They are my companions)
I wasn't sure if you're supposed to respond from the point of view of the subject, or if you're supposed to respond in the third person. I've responded as if it was a question adressed to me (tu). It's not clear what the right answer is supposed to be.
"È la" doesn't mean anything by itself.
La villa = the villa
La vostra villa = your villa
I guess the confusing bit is that in English we don't use the definite article when we're using possessive adjectives, "your villa" not "the your villa". But in Italian they do.

How long have you been studying Italian?

I've been studying for about 7 and a half months, ready for a trip over there this June. Lots and lots of studying

Sorry just got back from a friend's after dinner. Thanks
How long have you been studying?
I'm backpacking yeah. I'll be there for 7 weeks, travelling all over mainland Italy, but I have 9 weeks off work so I'll be spending 2 weeks in the UK where I'm from (I moved to Australia a couple of years ago).
