Ciao Stephen

The wordreference translations for "no way" don't seem right to me.

"Alla larga!" means something like "stay away from me!". "In nessun modo" means "in no way" rather than "no way".

When "no way!" means "that's out of the question" you could use "assolutamente no!" or "non se ne parla neanche!":

- Are you going to lend him the money?
- Gli presterai i soldi?
- No way!
- Assolutamente no!/Non se ne parla neanche!

Your example is a bit different: "No way will that happen" could be translated as "non c'è modo che ciò possa accadere", although it depends on whether the sense is that you think there's no way that could happen or that you're going to make sure it doesn't happen.
