Hello everybody!
i am from argentina, have 17 years old, my grandfather was from italy and he teach me a little of italiano reading me books, i wish to learn more of this language but my granfather can't teach me anymore, that's why i join to this forum.
I don't know to speak perfect english

so i sure made a lot of mistakes, but i will learn with the practice.

Just a few suggestions, and if I'm wrong my buddies here will set me straight.

Buono (good) instead of bene (well) and it would look like this ....

Let's just use "good" at first, and then very good.

Un buon modo di imparare, ed e' impressionante. Buono goes in front of the noun and drops its' o because it is in front of a male noun that begins with a consonat. And you are also asking what is ED for ???

In stead of using e e' (sounds like ey ey) and means "and is", they change the e used for and, into ed, because is sounds nicer. So it becomes ed e'.

Remember e = and ..... e' = is ..... ed e' = and is

And finally, if you wish to use "very good" buon goes back to buono and looks like this.

E' un modo molto buono di imparare , ed e' anche impressionante.

Rich - that was great, in my opinion!! The only thing that I would change would be, that instead of:

E' un modo molto buono di imparare , ed e' anche impressionante

I would write:

E' un modo molto buono d'imparare , ed e' anche impressionante

This is because you have di (which ends w/a vowel) and imparare (which starts with a vowel) so you can use an apostrophe between the two and drop the i on di.

Hopefully that is correct...and if not, our Italian buddies can correct us.

Got to go ...... Having a Christening here Sunday and I must finish painting our den. I took off from work today as did my wife, I better get back to work before she get's back from the store. I would have written that in Italian but the Christening would have been over by the time I finished ....
